White House Correspondents Dinner (8 p.m., CPSAN/CNN) President Obama opens for “Saturday Night Live” cast member Cecily Strong, who delivers this year’s zinger-filled speech. (Note: MSNBC picks up coverage at 9.)

When Calls the Heart (8 p.m., Hallmark) – Season 2 opens with Elizabeth and Jack, closer than ever after their first kiss. Also, Abigail confronts Bill about a surprising discovery that could put their romance on hold.

My Cat From Hell (8 p.m., Animal Planet) – Bombadil the kitten turns out to be the gift that terrorizes a mother. Jackson Galaxy offers his expertise.

Orphan Black (9 p.m., BBC America) – Castor pursues the clones in order to obtain original tissue samples, while Helena is examined by a new villain.

Mountain Monsters (10 p.m., Destination America) – The AIMS team returns to Ashe County in North Carolina to hunt the “legendary Cherokee Devil,” but a rift occurs during the mission. (Disclaimer: No such thing as a Cherokee Devil.)

Tatau (10 p.m., BBC America) – Kyle seeks confirmation about his predatory powers by talking to Aumea and learning the meaning of her tattoo.
