What to Watch on Friday: Netflix has ‘Altered Carbon,’ HBO has ‘2 Dope Queens’

Altered Carbon (Netflix) – A new Netflix series set 300 years in the future when consciousness can be digitized, human bodies are interchangeable and death is no longer permanent. A young soldier (Joel Kinnaman) is offered a chance to live again in exchange for solving the murder of a wealthy man, played by James Purefoy.

Coach Snoop (Netflix) – Netflix also has this docu-series which follows Snoop Dogg, the head coach of a team of 13-year-old boys, as the team travels the nation playing for a shot at the youth football National Championship.

Blue Bloods (10 p.m., CBS) – A student is shot by a rival gang member in his high school courtyard. Danny and Baez try to prevent further violence, but the principal recklessly takes matters into his own hands.

2 Dope Queens (11:30 p.m., HBO) – The hit podcast with Jessica Williams and Phoebe Robinson comes to HBO in the first of four hour-long specials directed by comedian Tig Notaro. Guests for the specials include Uzo Aduba (“Orange Is the New Black”), Tituss Burgess (“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”), Sarah Jessica Parker (HBO’s “Divorce” and “Sex and the City”) and Jon Stewart (“The Daily Show”).
