What to Watch on Thursday: A new season of 'Marlon' starts on NBC

Marlon (9 p.m., NBC) — The second season starts with two new episodes. First, Marlon convinces Ashley to let Zack model for a kids’ athletic line after he is approached in a mall, but the resulting photos horrify the family. At 9:30, Marlon offers to be Ashley’s wingman during a night out.

American Woman (10 p.m., Paramount) — Suddenly responsible for her own finances for the first time, Bonnie enlists the help of Diana (played by Millbrook and ECU grad Jennifer Bartels) and Kathleen in her search for stability, which starts with her search for a job.
