The Astronaut’s Wives Club (8 p.m., NBC) – The premiere of a really interesting new series based on Lily Koppel’s nonfiction book about the wives of the seven men chosen by NASA to be the first Americans in space in the 1960s. I’ve seen three episodes and I’m totally in (Googled names the entire time I watched).
Beauty and the Beast (8 p.m., CW) – Vincent and Cat deal with their rapidly changing relationship when they move in together. And when J.T. wants to impress Tess’ brothers, he discovers there may be a side effect to the medication he received.
Complications (9 p.m., USA) – USA had me at Jason O’Mara, an actor I’ll watch in just about anything (I loved “Life on Mars” so much). In this new drama, O’Mara plays a doctor still recovering from his daughter’s death when he intervenes in a shooting. When he learns the boy he saved remains a target, he becomes an unlikely vigilante hero, drawn into a gang war.
Aquarius (9 p.m., NBC) – The Black Panthers affect the investigation into the death of an African-American woman, and amid the chaos, Emma runs away from home. Also, Hodiak gives Manson a near-fatal beating.
Mistresses (9 p.m., ABC) – Season 3 begins with Karen calling Joss with bad news, interrupting her making out with Harry on the beach.
North Carolina Weekend (9 p.m., UNC-TV) - For those of us unable to escape to the beach this weekend, the segment on the Carolina Beach Boardwalk will have to do. When they get to the part about Britt’s Donut Shop, avert your hungry eyes.
Hannibal (10 p.m., NBC) – Will travels to Hannibal’s home in Lithuania, where he meets a mysterious woman.
