WRAL announced today that Lynda Loveland will move from the station’s morning newscast to the evening news team.
Loveland will join co-anchor Gerald Owen for the 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts on WRAZ Fox 50 and the 5:30 p.m. newscast on WRAL, replacing Jackie Hyland, who left the station in June.
The change is official on Monday, July 20.
Loveland worked as an anchor and reporter at WRAL for ten years before switching over to radio, co-hosting the MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM morning show with Bill Jordan for five years. She returned to TV in 2014 as a morning anchor and reporter for Fox 50 and WRAL.
