What to Watch on Tuesday: Ed Burns’ ‘Public Morals’ on TNT

Public Morals (10 p.m., TNT) – The premiere of a new series written and directed by Ed Burns that follows police officer Terry Muldoon (Burns), head of the Public Morals Division (vice squad) of the NYPD in the early 1960s. In tonight’s first episode, Muldoon struggles to raise his family in the increasingly violent Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood after a war between two factions of the Irish Mob breaks out.

Monica the Medium (8 p.m., ABC Family) – In the debut of this new reality series, Monica performs a spontaneous reading for a stranger at a back-to-school party and later preps for a blind date.

A Few Great Bakeries (9 p.m., UNC-TV) – Durham baker Rhonda Jones of Chez Moi bakery is featured on this special. “A Few Great Pie Places” airs at 8.

Real Husbands of Hollywood (10 p.m., BET)Kevin Hart runs into Salli Richardson and invites her to the poker game, but then Salli’s husband challenges Kevin to a joke-off.

Another Period (10:30 p.m., Comedy Central) – In the season finale, Peepers must save the Bellacourts from destruction after he realizes Chair’s true intentions.
