What to Watch on Sunday: ‘Falling Skies’ series ends on TNT

Falling Skies (10 p.m., TNT) – In the series finale, the final standoff brings the Masons, the 2nd Mass and their new allies into the bowels of an iconic American location, wrought with unpredictable obstacles.

Show Me a Hero (8 p.m., HBO) – In the two final installments of David Simon’s Yonkers-set miniseries, Nick Wasicsko plans his political comeback and residents take possession of their new townhomes.

Sunday Best (8 p.m., BET) – The season finale of this gospel music competition series reveals a winner and has performances by Mary Mary and Kirk Franklin.

MTV Video Music Awards (9 p.m., MTV, VH1, Comedy Central) - Expect Miley Cyrus, The Weekend, Nick Jonas and much more.

Fear the Walking Dead (9 p.m., AMC) – Madison tries to keep Nick from withdrawal, and Travis sets out to locate his son before Los Angeles falls to zombies.

Great Food Truck Race (9 p.m., Food) – The competition, which still includes Raleigh food truck Pho Nomenal Dumplings, heads to Sedona, Ariz., where cooks must make a dish incorporating a local delicacy: rattlesnake and rabbit sausage.

Who Do You Think You Are? (9 p.m., TLC) Tom Bergeron (“Dancing with the Stars”) tracks his family history in the season finale.

Save My Life: Boston Trauma (10 p.m., ABC) –Another finale. In this one, orthopedic doctors try to repair a rock climber’s broken foot. Also treated, a man who tried to prevent his wife from falling down a flight of stairs but fell down them with her.
