What to Watch on Tuesday: New Fox sitcoms with ageless wonders

Grandfathered (8 p.m., Fox) – In this new sitcom, a successful bachelor (John Stamos) is shocked when he finds out that not only does he have an adult son, but also a granddaughter. Thad was not a fan of this one – read his full review of “Grandfathered” here.

NCIS (8 p.m., CBS) – When Gibbs asks the team to help a DEA agent with a case, DiNozzo makes a discovery about Gibbs’ connection to the agent. Also, Gibbs debuts a new look.

The Grinder (8:30 p.m., Fox) – Rob Lowe stars in this new series, as a popular TV actor whose TV series ends and he thinks his experience playing a lawyer on the show could help at his family’s law firm. Read Thad’s full review of “The Grinder.”

Marvel’s Agent’s of SHIELD (9 p.m., ABC) – In the Season 3 opener, a new inhuman in discovered, and Coulson and the team have an encounter with another organization seeking powered people.

My Brother’s Bomber (10 p.m., UNC-TV) – This “Frontline” special looks into a man’s quest to find those responsible for the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, which killed 270 people, including the brother of this program’s producer, Ken Dornstein.

Limitless (10 p.m., CBS) – Brian puts his new job at risk when he disregards order to stay out of a renowned journalist’s murder.
