What to Watch on Saturday: Fey, Poehler and Springsteen on ‘SNL’

Saturday Night Live (11:30 p.m., NBC) – Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are the hosts and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band perform in the best SNL episode ever.

Also on tonight . . .

A Christmas Melody (8 p.m., Hallmark) – A movie in which a single mother moves back to her hometown with her young daughter, and when the daughter has trouble adjusting, she seeks help from her music teacher to write a song for the Christmas show. Stars Mariah Carey, Brennan Elliott and Lacey Chabert.

The Spirit of Christmas (8 p.m., Lifetime) – In this movie, a young lawyer finds romance with a spirit that takes the form of a human 12 days before Christmas. Stars Jen Lilley, Thomas Beaudoin and Bates Wilder.

The Wiz Live! (8 p.m., NBC) – It’s a repeat from a couple weeks ago, so it’s not live, but it’s still the best live theatrical production NBC has done. Mary J. Blige and David Alan Grier are both outstanding.

Imagine: John Lennon’s 75th Birthday Concert (9 p.m., AMC) – Musicians honor Lennon’s 75th birthday at Madison Square Garden in New York. Performers include Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow, John Fogerty, Peter Frampton, Kris Kristofferson and others.
