What to Watch on Friday: Mike Nichols documentary on PBS

American Masters: Mike Nichols (9 p.m., UNC-TV) – A documentary looking at the life and 50-year career of director Mike Nichols, one of only two people who have won Peabody, Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards. Nichols directed “The Graduate,” “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf,” “Silkwood,” “Working Girl” and many other acclaimed films. The documentary was directed by Nichols’ longtime comedy partner Elaine May.

MasterChef Junior (8 p.m., Fox) – The two finalists face off and a winner is announced.

Grimm (9 p.m., NBC) – Not everything is as it seems after the return of “Juliette.” Also, Monroe and Rosalee look for answers regarding increased Wesen violence.

Treehouse Masters (10 p.m., Animal Planet) – Second week in a row featuring a North Carolina treehouse! This one – a Zen-like sanctuary built for old friends – is in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Canton.
