The X-Files (8 p.m., Fox) – Tonight’s finale promises a cliffhanger, so does that mean more seasons are possible? Show creator Chris Carter, citing solid ratings for the limited-episode series, told International Business Times last week, “I can’t imagine there won’t be more ... But no specific conversations have been had.”

Becoming Mike Nichols (9 p.m., HBO) – A new documentary on award-winning filmmaker Mike Nichols. Read the full review of “Becoming Mike Nichols” – it’s definitely worth checking out.
