What to Watch on Saturday: New ‘Vet Life’ series starts on Animal Planet

The Vet Life (10 p.m., Animal Planet) - If you’re a veterinarian and you do not currently have a TV show, you might want to contact Animal Planet or National Geographic/Nat Geo Wild, because between the those networks, it sure seems like they have about every region covered. The latest new series follows a vet practice in Houston as doctors deal with everything from risky surgeries to diagnosing chameleons.

You May Now Kill the Bride (8 p.m., Lifetime) - In this movie, Nicole and Mark get engaged, but Mark’s stepsister believes she has a claim on him and is willing to do anything to be his bride.

Roots: A New Vision (10 p.m., A&E, History, Lifetime) - A behind-the-scenes look at the “Roots” miniseries focusing on authenticity in locations, sets, costumes and historical details.
