What to Watch on Monday: Catch July 4th fireworks from your sofa

Macy’s 4th of July Spectacular (8 p.m., NBC) – Scheduled performers include Kenny Chesney, Meghan Trainor and the Radio City Rockettes. Repeats at 10.

A Capitol Fourth (8 p.m., UNC-TV) – This annual concert honoring America’s birthday features segments from Olympic athletes and the USO. Smokey Robinson performs. Repeats at 10.

Idris Elba: No Limits (8 p.m., Discovery) – This Discovery UK series has Actor Idris Elba exploring high-speed motorsports. Three episodes air tonight.

Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular (9 p.m., CBS) – Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas perform with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra.

Houdini & Doyle (9 p.m., Fox) – In the season finale, all residents of a small village die simultaneously except for a priest and a child, but no signs of violence are found. No word on renewal.

The Works (10 p.m., WTVD) – Locally, WTVD will air fireworks from downtown Raleigh’s big “The Works” celebration.
