What to Watch on Sunday: MTV Music Awards, HBO’s ‘Night Of’ finale

The Night Of (9 p.m., HBO) – In the finale, Stone is thrust into the spotlight as a controversy involving the defense emerges.

MTV Video Music Awards (9 p.m., MTV, Comedy Central, VH1, Spike, BET, TV Land, CMT) – Performers include Nick Jonas, Britney Spears, Ty Dolla $ign and G-Eazy. Rihanna gets the Video Vanguard Award.
