New faces in Raleigh’s Fallon Park — villas and cottages

Celebrated as one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the Triangle, Fallon Park is located in the heart of Raleigh’s historic Five Points district. Towering hardwoods prevail throughout the area, providing a canopy to the diverse mix of character-filled “inside the Beltline” homes bordering winding lanes that connect Wake Forest Road to Glenwood Avenue. Harmonizing with these fine homes are parks, art galleries, boutiques, restaurants and neighborhood schools, culminating in a community of timeless charm and distinctive appeal.

A new face has emerged at 
Fallon Park, as Raleigh-based builder ForeverHome LLC has begun construction on luxury villas and cottages in this sought-after locale.

“We’re very pleased to be underway with the Villas at Fallon Park,” says Mark Ward, ForeverHome vice president of sales. “This area is the essence of Midtown living at its finest. North Hills, Glenwood South and Cameron Village are moments away. Upon completion, the Villas at Fallon Park will comprise 16 luxury townhomes adjoining the existing Oaks at Fallon Park, which is a beautiful neighborhood of new single-family homes from the $700,000s. Perhaps the most exciting thing about the Villas is the opportunity they provide to live in this amazing part of Raleigh in wonderful homes from the $360,000s, as opposed to the higher pricing traditionally seen in this area. We’re delighted that these homes will soon be a reality.”

Located on Lowden Street adjacent to Joyner Elementary School, the Villas at Fallon Park have 3 or 4 bedrooms, 2 ½ or 3 ½ baths and range from 2,079 to 2,400 square feet. Their alluring stone, brick, shake and fiber-cement exteriors featuring Craftsman-style elements are maintenance-free, as are front yards and common areas.

Interiors are flowing and spacious, with first-floor hardwoods, inviting kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, and wrought iron stair balusters. Each home includes a private patio for outdoor fun and relaxation and a two-car garage, accessible via a private rear alley.

“The Villas are configured as four buildings of four homes each, meaning eight of the 16 are desirable end-home locations,” says Mark. “We’re providing lots of closet space, and two of our plans feature over-sized showers in the master bath instead of a tub. We’ve found that many customers today favor terrific showers instead of tubs. Each home will have at least one full bath with a tub, so if owners of these luxury showers want to soak in a tub, they’ll have that opportunity just down the hall.”

“Another great feature we’re offering is unfinished space over the garage,” Mark continues. “It’s approximately 200 square feet of floored, walk-in storage space on the second floor that can be easily and inexpensively finished as a workout room, a play room or a hobby room, based on customer request. The people who’ve toured this space so far have been pretty wowed by it.”

ForeverHome is also the builder for the Cottages at Fallon Park, single-family homes just beyond the Villas on Yancey Street. With fiber-cement siding and shake exteriors, these 2,387-2,991 sq. ft. homes will offer Craftsman-style appeal and front porch living. Like the Villas, most Cottages will feature alley-fed two-car garages.

“The Cottages at Fallon Park are priced from $469,900,” says Mark. “We have three of nine homes currently underway. These homes will be packed with outstanding details just like the Villas.”

Gordon Grubb, president of Grubb Ventures and developer of the Oaks at Fallon Park is pleased with the participation of ForeverHome in the Villas and the Cottages at Fallon Park.

“ForeverHome is bringing a style of home very complementary to what we have in the Oaks, but with a different price point,” says Gordon. “My vision with the Oaks was to create a traditional neighborhood that would fit well within the existing Fallon Park neighborhood. ForeverHome is doing the same thing with their homes in the Villas and the Cottages.”

The first homes at the Villas at Fallon Park are slated for completion in early September, with the first Cottages ready in October. Home tours are available by appointment.
