Mamie Carlyle Fowler, 95, went to be with her Lord on Sunday. A native of Franklin County she was daughter to the late Burl T. & Procie Williams Carlyle & step mother, Glatha Carlyle. Mamie had a warm and kind smile and her children, grandchildren, & great grandchildren were her life and her heart. She was preceded in death by her husband Lester Fowler, daughter, Barbara Pearce, son, Kenneth Fowler, sons-in-law, Kenneth Pearce, Bobby Baines, Billy Ray Liles, sisters, Doris Driver, Bethie Carlyle, brothers, Tommy, Delbert, & Darnell Carlyle.
Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Pilot Baptist Church with burial in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by her daughter; Balina Baines of Bailey; son, Charles Fowler and wife Ruth of Knightdale, daughter-in-law, Cathy Fowler of Zebulon; grandchildren, Anthony Liles (Lisa) of Youngsville, Leslie Liles ( Donna) of Bailey, Kenny Pearce (Tina) of Zebulon, Keith Pearce (Angie) of Middlesex, Rhonda Norton (Michael) of Zebulon, Kim Creech (Michael) of Zebulon, Bonnie Woodard of Knightdale, Kristie Lowery of Wilson, Jamie Fowler (Helen) of Bowling Green, VA, Kevin Fowler (Michelle) of Fredericksburg, VA; sisters, Beulah Etheridge of Wilson, Irene Horton of Louisburg, Vianna Bailey of Zebulon, Betty Bunn of Zebulon, Glenda Langley of Dunn; brothers, Curly Carlyle of Zebulon, Coy Carlyle of Spring Hope, Izell Carlyle of Rockingham, Chester Carlyle (Betty) of Zebulon; 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
