The Charlotte quarantine is over for the last of three missionaries who had been exposed to the Ebola virus in Liberia, Mecklenburg County health officials confirmed Thursday.
The three arrived Aug. 10 and were quarantined on the grounds of their mission sponsor, SIM USA. One was David Writebol, who was released Aug. 17 after 21 days without developing symptoms. His wife, Nancy, contracted the Ebola infection in July. She survived and was released Aug. 19 from Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
The other two missionaries were released from quarantine this week.
