Jean Miller Carlton died at her home on Thursday, August 28, 2014 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Jean's family and friends have been with her throughout her illness.
She was born in 1931 in Warsaw to Kina Rivenbark and JC Miller. After graduating from Warsaw High School, she attended Campbell College. She married Hugh Carlton in 1953 and together they raised two daughters and a son in Warsaw.
Hugh died in 2013, and she is survived by her children and grandchildren -- Jenny and George Finch, David Carlton Jr., Julie Carlton, Carlton and Frances Finch, Mary George and McIver Barwick, and Ann Miller Finch. Her sisters Kitten Sutton and Virginia Bostic also survive her.

The family will receive friends at their home, 402 Fox Ridge Road, Warsaw on Friday, August 29th from 4 until 6 P.M. Services will be held on Saturday, August 30th at 10:30 A.M. at Warsaw Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the Carlton-Pollock Cemetery.
