Paul Glenn “Tink” O'Neal, Sr., 83, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, August 28, 2014. He was born on June 9, 1931 to the late George Micajah "Cage" and Lula Etheridge O'Neal. Granddaddy Tink is best known for his elaborate story telling skills, his uncanny ability to always make people laugh, as well as rabbit hunting, farming, fishing and his unconditional love he had for the family. Tink, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many, lived a life filled with lots of love and laughter.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday at Speed Baptist Church with the Rev. C.J. Kratz officiating. Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond O’Neal, Lee O’Neal, and Walter Hardy O’Neal.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beautiful wife of 62 years, Jackie Link O'Neal of the home; his loving children Glenn O'Neal and late wife, Peggy Jo Waters O’Neal of Tarboro, Frankie Rose and husband Bobby of Crisp, Jo Roberson and husband Carl of Speed; grandchildren Cory Rose of Charlotte, Rusty Kiser and wife Morgan of Red Oak; great-grandchildren Wyatt and Blythe Kiser of Red Oak; brother Curtis O'Neal and wife Peggy of Leggett; sisters Jean Rogister and husband Bill of Hobgood and Edith Ballard of Tarboro and several nieces and nephews. He will forever be missed.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Speed Baptist Church from 1:00-2:00 pm. on Saturday.
