Steve Eason, the senior pastor of Myers Park Presbyterian Church, is taking a job with an Atlanta-based missionary organization, according to a letter shared with church members Monday.
Eason will become the director of consulting services with Macedonian Ministries, “providing support services for pastors and church leadership of multiple denominations,” according to the letter. He plans to leave in April, when his family will move to Brevard.
Eason oversaw the church’s $30 million capital campaign in 2008, $11 million of which went to help poor communities and schools in Charlotte, Africa and Latin America.
