Carol Edwards Jackson, 69, of Wake Forest, died Thursday October 16, 2014 at Rex Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Forest Daniel Edwards and Eula Creech Edwards. She was a member of New Light Baptist Church and was retired from the State of North Carolina as an Administrative Secretary.
Carol loved her family, and she showed them that love by always sacrificing her needs, so that they could have. From the time she learned of her sickness in January 2009 until her last breath, she showed her complete trust and faith in God by living a life devoted to telling others about God. She would always say that "God has a plan." She told her sons, "This is a cross I have to bear, but I've told God that where He leads I'll follow."
Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock Monday morning October 20, 2014 at New Light Church of God with the Rev. Robbin K. Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her sons, Rev. Randy Jackson and wife, Julie of Estill Springs, TN and Dean Jackson of Wake Forest; grandchildren; Kimberlie Jackson, Taylor Jackson and Zachary Jackson all of Estill Springs, TN; mother-in-law, Tessie Jackson of Wake Forest; nephews, Allen Jenkins & Robert Jenkins both of Wake Forest, Gary Edwards of Youngsville and Tony Edwards of Durham; nieces, Amy Nipper of Wake Forest and Angie Edwards of Youngsville.
