Brenda Sutton Davis, 74, went to be with her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ on October 20, 2014. She often said she had a great life and a good journey to her room in heaven. She will be affectionately remembered and loved by many because she loved so many. Though she had no children, she mothered, loved and taught children for twenty eight years as an Early Childhood teacher.
She was predeceased by her husband, Louie Davis on December 13, 2005.
She graduated from East Carolina University in 1963 with a BS degree in Early Childhood Education. She furthered her education by taking courses at NC State University and Meredith College. She began her teaching career in the Mecklenburg County System and ended it in the Wake County system.
On June 22, 1969, she married her beloved husband, Leonidas "Louie" Davis. They shared many precious and devoted years together. He was the light and love of her life. After her retirement in 1996, she was active in Bible Application Class, Bible Study Fellowship, Daughters of the American Revolution (Cashwell-Nash Chapter), Colonial Dames of Seventeenth Century (Sir Walter Raleigh Chapter), the Readers' Club and Raleigh Garden Club.
