Maureen Ellen Quinn Urquhart, 71, of Cary, passed away October 20, 2014 at her residence.
She was born July 28, 1943 in Queens, NY a daughter of William and Florence Mary Smith Quinn. She married John Urquhart.
Surviving are her husband John Urquhart of Cary; two sons, William (Terri) of Richford, VT, Robert Oswald of Cary; one daughter, Deborah Oswald of Carrboro; stepchildren, John A. Urquhart of Melbourne, FL, Laura White of Charlotte, VT, Thomas (Peggy) Urquhart of Wilmington, Julia (John) Kuzo of Holly Springs, Andrea Oswald of Cary; 17 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and one sister, Eileen (Richard) Bisordi of Stanford, CT.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, William Quinn.

Maureen was of Catholic faith. She loved gardening, cooking, and most of all, her family. On her 50th birthday she took all of her grandchildren on a carousel ride. She was truly full of life.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wake Memorial Park in Cary.
