Peg Kapp, 86, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 in Raleigh, NC. Peg was born Margaret Watts Andrews on December 27, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA., to William J. and Margaret S. Andrews.
Peg is survived by her husband Delbert A. Kapp. Del and Peg were married on July 25, 1953 in Pittsburgh and shared 61 fruitful years together! Peg is also survived by her three sons and their wives, Tim, Sr. (Janet), Ken (Laura), and Doug; grandsons Tim, Jr. (Jennifer), Chris (Melissa), David, Brian (Trisha); great grandchildren Ashley, Matthew, Chelsea, Kristina, and Kadence.
Peg was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She liked people and they liked her. Peg absolutely loved entertaining. Friends, food, and fun were the hallmark of all her gatherings. She was a founding member of the Gourmet Club of Raleigh, NC with a membership of 16 couples that thrived for over four decades. She also ran with the ladies of the Lunch Bunch. Peg and Del played bridge in at least three groups where food was always involved. Her love of food led her to collect many recipes and cookbooks from around the country and state of NC. Although a Pittsburgh native, she grew to love good old eastern Carolina style bar-b-que.
Peg was a dedicated member of St. Giles Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, NC. She was involved with Women’s Circle, House Church, and Prime Timers. She received solace from beloved Bible verses, devotional books, collected poems and other faith writings.
