James Roderic “Tink” Faison, 84, of 800 Bethlehem Road, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Wake Med. He was born in Wake County on July 23, 1930 to the late Audie Carr Faison and Ruth Wall Faison. Tink graduated in 1950 from Knightdale High School. He was a retired farmer and truck driver with Winn-Dixie and Krispy Kreme. As long as his health permitted he was a life-long member of Knightdale United Methodist Church.
Funeral service 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 25, 2014 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, 27545 with the Reverend George Pullium officiating. The Faison family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:45 pm and other times at the Faison home. A private entombment service will be held at Knightdale United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Surviving: sons: Kenny Faison and wife, Carole of Knightdale, Jay Faison and wife, Katherine of Raleigh; daughter: Lisa Faison Mitchell and husband, Charles of Knightdale; grandchildren: April M. Berman, Kristen M. Lewis, Heather F. Cole, Joshua Faison, Evan Faison, Kayla Faison, Taylor Mitchell, Nikki Mitchell and Emory Faison; great-grandchildren: James Cole, Haley Cole, Madison Faison, Braeton Marks, Camden Lewis, Carson Berman, Parker Lewis, Easton Lewis; sister: Rochelle F. Oakley of Knightdale.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Edwards Faison June 20, 2013 and his brother Billy Rand Faison.
