Fourteen new citizens took the Oath of Allegiance on Friday during a naturalization ceremony at the Levine Museum of the New South.
The 14 hailed from a dozen countries – the Bahamas, Egypt, El Salvador, India, Indonesia, Iran, Laos, Moldova, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom and Ukraine.
“Each of you will add something special and unique to the fabric of America,” said U.S. Rep. Robert Pittenger, who participated in the event. “Today, we are here to honor you and acknowledge your hard work and commitment in becoming U.S. citizens.”
