Shirley Ann Moody Mozingo, age 71, of Selma passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. Born in Spartanburg, SC on August 28, 1943, she was the daughter of the late James Earl and Lydia Faye Sloan Moody. Mrs. Mozingo was a Public Health Nurse for thirty years. She was a member and leader in the NC Nurses’ Association and the NC Public Health Association during those years.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Kemple Cemetery in the Brogden Community near Smithfield. The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma Friday evening from 7 to 9 PM.
Surviving are her husband James “Fred” Mozingo; daughter Karen Ann Mozingo of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, James Ray Moody and wife Kay, Michael Earl Moody and wife Marilyn; granddaughter, Anna Sophia; special friend and caregiver Donna Jackson; numerous nephews and one niece.
