Michael Craig Corson, 35, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 15. He was loved greatly and will be missed by his family and friends. He graduated from Millbrook High School in 1998 and graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with distinction in International Studies in 2002. Shortly after college graduation, he moved to Meiningen, Germany where he was married and worked at Bethel Kapelle. In 2004, he and his wife, Nancy, relocated to Raleigh and later two sons were born.
Michael is survived by his wife, Nancy, two small sons. Finn an Samuel; his father and mother , Don and Nancy Corson; brothers Matt and his wife Angie, Chris and his wife, Erin and nephews Ryan and Evan; his maternal grandmother, Wilma Smith and extended family in Germany, as well as uncles, aunts and cousins. He will also be missed by numerous friends here and in Germany.
A memorial service will be held at Providence Baptist Church 2pm Friday, November 21. The family will receive friends following the service.
