Alma S. Hinton, 95, formally of Raleigh, died Saturday, November 8th in her home at Independence Village, Winston-Salem, NC Alma was a 1940 graduate of Shaw University, who taught children in the Raleigh/Wake county school system for over 35 years.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dr. Alma C. Trotter in 2013. Alma leaves a son, Claude R. Trotter, Jr. of Raleigh; grandson, Claude R. Trotter III (Lori) of Grand Prairie, TX; granddaughter, Nicole T. Henry (Keith) of Winston-Salem, NC; several great-grands and two great-great-grands.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 23rd at Russell Funeral Home, 822 Carl Russell St.,W.S., NC 27103 at 3:30 p.m. Family visitation, 4:00 p.m. Inurnment service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, Carolina Biblical Garden, Raleigh, NC.
