Christine Ussery Wolfe passed from this life to a better one on December 19, 2014. Born in Plainfield, Ga., she was the youngest child and only daughter of the late Willie U. Ussery and Sarah “Sallie” Templeton Ussery.
The family moved back to South Carolina when she was about six. She graduated from Williston-Elko School, then worked in Charleston until her marriage to the late Samuel E. Wolfe. She worked for Belk’s stores in Orangeburg until her retirement, then worked at Quincy’s restaurant for a number of years.
She is survived by a daughter, Brenda W. Jackson (Brian);two grandsons, Thomas C. Havers, II and James W. Havers; a granddaughter, Sarah Weeks-Safrit and five great grandchildren, Thomas S. Havers, Timothy Havers, Caitlyn Safrit, Jacob S. Havers and Cameron Boney.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2014. Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2014 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with burial at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Elko, SC. Pallbearers will be Denton Ussery, Denton Ussery, Jr. Allan Ussery, Jacques Ussery, James A. Ussery and Thomas Rickenbaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Eugene, Wyman, Emory, James and Bill Ussery.
