Anna Pleasants Burroughs and Abraham Kenneth Moyer were married in a double-ring ceremony on September 28, 2014 at Pleasant Green United Methodist Church, in Durham. The Reverend Doctor Jesse Brunson officiated. A reception followed at Pleasant Green Community Center.
The bride is the daughter of Deborah McGill and Thomas Burroughs, of Durham. She is the granddaughter of the late Barbara and Gramling McGill, of Durham, and the late Nancy and Thomas Burroughs, Sr., of Euclid, OH.
The groom is the son of Carol and Jeffry Moyer, of Raleigh. He is the grandson of the late Benjamin and Vivian Mead and the late James and Nedra Moyer, all of Santa Barbara, CA.
The maid of honor was Page Adams, of Oceanside, CA. The bridesmaids were Alice Abed and Anna Weinberg, of Chapel Hill; Suky Medina, of Avon, CO; Cassie Robertson, of Ann Arbor, MI; and Kristine Wylie, of Morrisville.
The best men were Benjamin and Jonathan Moyer, the grooms' brothers. The groomsmen were Robert Horner, of Washington, DC; Andy Li, of Reston, VA; and David Owens, of Mebane.
The bride attended New York University, graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and works at Jewelsmith, in Durham.
The groom graduated from North Carolina State University and works at Frost Converting Systems, in Burlington.
The couple lives in Durham.
