He will always be remembered for his ability to make friends, wherever he went. Boyce was a humble and kind man, which drew people to him. He enjoyed spending time at Oak Island with his wife, Anne. They loved to travel all over the country, wearing out three Winnebago’s in the process. He was proud of the work he accomplished while working with Fieldcrest Mills and the textile industry.
Boyce enjoyed gardening and there was always enough room for one more tomato plant in his garden. He was a very generous man. One of his pleasures was sharing the yields from his garden. Boyce’s coffee cup was rarely empty. The praise Choir at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church always made him smile.
