Dora Carlisle Hare, age 89, went to be with her Savior on Friday evening, January 16. Her passing was sudden and unexpected. She was born on May 2, 1925, in Greene County, NC, to the late Walter Charles Carlisle and Minnie Lee Taylor Carlisle. She attended elementary school in Greene County and graduated from New Hope High School in 1942. She worked at J. C. Penney and later retired as a State employee from Cherry Hospital. She attended Freedom Baptist Church in Goldsboro, NC.
A service celebrating Dora’s life will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
She is survived by her 3 children Ann Rogers and husband Harry of Fuquay-Varina, NC; Kathy Vaspory of Winston-Salem, NC; Rayburn Hare and wife Donna of Blue Springs, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 10 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband W. C. "Bill" Hare to whom she was married for 56 years, and also by one brother and five sisters.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 7:00 –9:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her home.
