Steve V. Naylor, 66, of Raleigh, NC passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. He was born on December 28, 1948 in Raleigh, NC to Charles and Josephine Naylor.
Steve loved being outdoors, and enjoyed so many activities that would take him there. As a youth, on his path to becoming an Eagle Scout, he learned to love camping. He later became a graduate of ECU and flew his Pirate flag proudly. As an adult, Steve enjoyed golfing, loved salt water sport fishing, spending time at the beach, beautiful music of all kinds, dancing, and above all else, he found the greatest joy when he was surrounded by his family and those who loved him.
Surviving are his wife Susan K. Naylor of Raleigh; his mother, Josephine P. Naylor of Raleigh; daughter, Alison S. Perkins and her husband, Brandon D. Perkins; 7 year old grandson, Brian Perkins; and 3 year old granddaughter, Kendall Perkins, all of Raleigh. He is also survived by many other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 23, 2015 at 1:00 PM at North Raleigh United Methodist Church, 8501 Honeycutt Rd, Raleigh. The family will receive guests for visitation on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh. A second time for visiting will immediately follow the church service. Burial in Raleigh Memorial Park will take place on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 4:00 PM.
