Robber holds up Subway restaurant on Cherry Road

The Subway restaurant on North Cherry Road was robbed Wednesday morning by a man who said he had a gun and demanded money, according to Rock Hill police.

The man entered the store in The Market on Cherry Road shopping center at about 7:30 a.m. as the business opened for the day. The robber said he had a gun but kept his hand in his pocket and never displayed a weapon, police said. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled.

Nobody was injured during the robbery.

The robber was described as a black male wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans and white sneakers.

The police K-9 unit was called to the scene.
