Cynthia (Cindy) Riggsbee Hennessey of Hillsborough, died Saturday, February 7, 2015 following a brief illness. Cindy was born April 9, 1947 to the late Dorothy Bryson Riggsbee and Bruce Howard Riggsbee.
She was raised in Carrboro, NC and lived in Chapel Hill, Hillsborough and her favorite place on earth, Kerr Lake. She created beautiful homes wherever she lived and was gifted with an eye for design and good taste. Cindy was blessed with a wonderful family and many friends. She was known for being forthright and honest and lived a life of no regrets. She had an amazing memory and could recall people and events with ease. She will also be remembered for her quick wit and uncanny sense of humor. She found humor in everyone and everything. Her homes were warm and welcoming places full of fun and laughter.
She taught everyone who knew her how to live a happy and courageous life. Cindy touched so many lives in a positive way and will be sorely missed, and that is her legacy.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband Anthony Hennessey of Hillsborough, and her two daughters she was so proud of, Jennifer Julian Austin (John Scott Austin, Sr.) and Jolie Julian Rollins (Douglas Rollins) of Raleigh; her stepchildren Todd Hennessey(Brandon) of Kernersville and Chistina Hennessey (Charles)of Los Angeles.

She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, John Scott Austin, Jr. and Alison Belle Austin of Raleigh.
