Course: Atlanta Athletic Club, Highlands Course (7,467 yards, par 70).

Purse: TBA ($7.5 million in 2010). Winner's share: TBA ($1.35 million in 2010).

Television: TNT (Thursday-Friday, 1-7 p.m., Saturday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.) and CBS (Saturday-Sunday, 2-7 p.m.).

Last year: Germany's Martin Kaymer won at Whistling Straits, beating Bubba Watson by a stroke in a three-hole playoff. Dustin Johnson lost a spot in the playoff when he was penalized two strokes on the final hole for grounding his club in a tiny patch of sand considered a bunker.

Last week: Adam Scott won the Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone for his first World Golf Championship title, closing with a 65 for a four-stroke victory. Scott gave caddie Steve Williams, recently fired by Tiger Woods, his eighth victory in the event. ... Scott Piercy won the Reno-Tahoe Open for his first PGA Tour title, holing a 7-foot putt for par on the final hole for a one-stroke victory over Pat Perez.

Notes: Tiger Woods, the 1999, 2000, 2006 and 2007 winner, tied for 37th at Firestone in his first event after an 11-week break to let injuries to his leg fully heal. ... If tied after 72 holes, the tournament will be decided in a three-hole, stroke-play playoff. If still tied, it will go to sudden death. ... The 2012 tournament will be at Kiawah Island in South Carolina. ... The Wyndham Championship is next week in Greensboro.

NATIONWIDE TOUR

PRICE CUTTER CHARITY CHAMPIONSHIP

Site: Springfield, Mo.

Schedule: Thursday-Sunday.

Course: Highland Springs Country Club (7,115 yards, par 72).

Purse: $625,000. Winner's share: $112,500.

Television: None.

Last year: Hunter Haas closed with a 7-under 65 for a six-stroke victory over Jamie Lovemark, Jason Schultz and Jonas Blixt.

Last week: J.J. Killeen won the Cox Classic in Omaha, Neb., for his second victory in two weeks, shooting 66-64-63-69 for a one-stroke victory. The former TCU star earned $130,500 to jump to second on the money list and wrap up a 2012 PGA Tour card.

Notes: The tournament is in its 22nd season, all at Robert Trent Jones Jr.-designed Highland Springs.
