Donna Gail Littlefield, 71, passed away on Friday morning April 3, 2015 in Raleigh. Born on March 18, 1944 in Attalla, Alabama; she was the daughter of the late Donald Chester and Nola Dean McQuown and wife of the late George Barlow Littlefield.
As a child of a military family, Donna enjoyed living in exciting places including Hawaii, California, England and New York. She received her degree from North Texas State University and moved back to New York where she met George. They were married and then moved to Marietta, Georgia where she spent the next 40 years.
Donna was a caring person, who enjoyed being around people. While she spent much of her time raising her children, she also worked in social work and retail. She participated regularly in bible study and was a member of Johnson’s Ferry Baptist Church. Donna delighted in travel and loved visiting the beach.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Julie Hepner and husband James Hepner, of Holly Springs NC and Christopher Littlefield and wife Laura Jennings, of Woodstock GA. Sister Debbie and brother in law Richard Kilpatrick of Lagrange GA. Three grandchildren and a number of other relatives and close friends, including some amazing care givers at Elsie’s Place.
Family will receive friends on Monday morning April 6, 2015 from 10-11 am at Apex Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am in the funeral home chapel, with burial at Six Oak Cemetery in Hilton Head, SC on Saturday, April 11, 2015.
