Philip Page Ragan, 94, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Transitions LifeCare after months of declining health. He was born June 4, 1920 in Wake County to the late Alsey Harvey Ragan and Hattie Page Ragan. He graduated from high school and went to Wake Forest University and received a four year degree. He was a dairy farmer until he retired in the early 1980’s. He will be best remembered for being a hard worker, generous and giving to family and friends.

Surviving: daughters: Phyllis Ragan Perry (John) of Wake Forest, Susan Thomas Foster-Salit of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren: Melissa S. Roberson, Meredith Senter, Will Foster, Jr., Wade Foster; great-grandchildren:Breanna Senter, Chandler Carey; brother: Calvin Ragan (Edith) of New Hill; children by marriage: Brent Jones (Tammy), Randy Jones (Debra), Jennifer Jones Warren (Sammy); grandchildren by marriage: Vince and Casey Jones, Amanda Hernandez, Alicia Scott; great-grandchildren by marriage: Cody Jones, Skylar Garner, Hadley and Tenley Scott, special friend, Artie Miller.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Katie Honeycutt Ragan, Corinne Jones Ragan; infant brother, Daniel Ragan; sisters: Irma R. Holland, Lydia Ragan; and his special friend Mary B. Hutchinson.
The family will received relatives and friends, Sunday, April 5, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory and other times at the home of his daughter, Phyllis and John Perry, 3212 Old Neusiok Trail, Wake Forest, 27587.
