Delbert Alvin Kapp (Del), 87, passed away on Easter Sunday morning in Raleigh NC. He was born in Beaver Falls, PA to George E. and Ida A. Kapp. Del was preceded in death by his wife Peg on October 18, 2014. Del and Peg shared 61 fruitful years of marriage.
Del is survived by his three sons and their wives, Tim Sr. (Janet), Ken (Laura), and Doug; grandsons Tim Jr. (Jennifer), Chris (Melissa), David, Brian (Trisha); and great grandchildren Ashley, Matthew, Chelsea, Kristina, and Kadence.
Del was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He took great pleasure in life by helping his family, friends, and his church with many projects. Del always stressed self-sufficiency. This was exemplified in his ability to fix virtually anything. He would put his engineer’s mind to the problem and come up with a solution. He always looked for the best in others and in life’s challenges. His motto was, “If life serves you lemons, then make lemonade.”
He served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps and later the Air Force.
