Mary Leeseman

Mary Leeseman passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at The Laurels of Chatham in Pittsboro, NC.

Born in New York City Mary was the daughter of the late Chris and Mary Leeseman of Hoosick Falls, NY. She lived and worked in New York City for United Airlines. Upon her retirement in 1990 she relocated to North Carolina.

Mary enjoyed traveling and seeing sights all over the world. She found pleasure in seeing her family and friends. During her retirement she volunteered at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC and The Habitat for Humanity in Pittsboro, NC. Mary was a member of the Fearrington Village Women’s Club.

Mary is survived by her brother, Charles (Marilyn) Leeseman, her sisters, Florence Liporace and Louise (Michael) O’Neil as well as several nieces and nephews. A special Thank You to Mary’s wonderful Pittsboro neighbors Jim and Barbara Dixon.

Thank you also for the compassionate care given to Mary by the staff of The Laurels of Chatham and Liberty Hospice Services over the last seven months.

Interment will be with her parents in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hoosick Falls, NY. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
