Michael “Scott” Clayton, age 50, of Fuquay Varina, passed away on April 10, 2015. Scott, a man who had a passion for life, love and his family, left this world unexpectedly. He was not ready to go and would want everyone to hold their loved ones even closer and take care of each other, remembering that life is precious.
Scott was a loving husband who celebrated their love and marriage every day. He was a wonderful father, a terrific son and brother and the greatest “Papa” ever to his grandchildren that he loved and cherished. He was a perfect man.
Scott worked at SAS for 29 years, and was adored by his coworkers. He was one of the most dedicated and dependable employees and truly enjoyed his work. Scott had a great love and knowledge of all things music. He was considered the “grill master” and was even known for his baking skills. Being a sports fan, he always was there to cheer on the Red Sox and the Carolina Tar Heels basketball team.
Scott had a quick wit, a super sense of humor and he seemed to know a little bit about a lot of things. He had a way of engaging people and could talk to anyone about anything. He was a man of presence with his loud voice and great laugh. Scott was an all-around cool guy.
