The Big Ten

Well, it's that time of year again, when I forget about the past few months of over-budgeted, cinematic mayhem and look forward to a new season of movies.

As always, the fall season provides me with movies that I'm at least interested in seeing. I'm interested in seeing Morgan Freeman tackle the role of Nelson Mandela in Clint's Eastwood's "Invictus." I'm interested in seeing Disney's take on an animated, African-American princess with "The Princess and the Frog." I'm interested in seeing Daniel Day-Lewis hold his own alongside an all-star, Oscar-winning circle of actresses (Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz and Sophia Loren, among them) in that musical Oscar contender "Nine." I'm even interested in seeing James Cameron's long-awaited 3-D spectacular "Avatar," just to see what all the fuss is about.

With the exception of a few baffling releases, this season is filled with titles I can't wait to venture to the multiplexes to partake in. And, of course, I already have my list of definite must-sees. They're under the Related Content header, on your left.

BTW, all the release dates are subject to change.
