Today is the first day of 2014. Wow! Where did last year go? It seems that the older I become, the more quickly the years whirl by me.

As we begin the first day of the new year, I thought it would be fun to look back at some of my Triangle Mom2Mom moments from 2013. I wrote 47 posts last year. Some better than others.

Yes, you guessed correctly. I haven't had time to come up with anything witty, profound, or heartwarming this early in the new year for my column yet.

The truth is my house still looks as if a Christmas cyclone hit it. I have to enter three months of receipts on the computer or I will not live to see another day in 2014, if my husband has his way. After celebrating Christmas, and two birthdays in the span of one week, we are worn out. I am happy to report, however, that I achieved my goal from my last column in 2013, and have found my three candies to make each holiday. I also have some extra holiday pounds from eating French Fudge, Russian Tea Cookies, and Heavenly Hash.

Here are some of my favorite columns out of the 47 I wrote that you may have missed this year.

1. Keep Your Pants On

2. Nightgowns and Butterfly Wings

3. Eleven Years

4. It's Not Babysitting! It's Called Parenting

5. S'Mores: The Dessert of the Summer

6. A Purple House and Three Girls

7. I'm Becoming THAT Mom!

8. So, Your Child is Waking at Night...

9. What is it in your House?

10. Do Really Skinny Women Eat?

11. How the Auto Industry Really Needs to Design a Family Car

12. Why Every Day is Like Halloween at My House

13. A "Feliz Navidad" Moment over Cupcakes

Do you have one you particularly enjoyed? It will help me frame my columns for this year.

Here is to a great new year!
