Sarah Blanchard of Raleigh didn’t know what to wear after she went from managing an equestrian center to selling real estate this year. I gave this horse owner a makeover that suits her active lifestyle and looks ultra stylish.
Before: The warm color of her jacket washes out her complexion, and the poor fit suggests she misses important details.
After: The leather-panel Farro top and slim Gigi pants are modern and comfortable and the animal print accessories show Blanchard’s sense of fun. This outfit is perfect for social hour. The Bedford stretch crepe zip-neck dress flatters Blanchard, and the lizard-print Kelly clutch and paisley chevron scarf provide contrast. The Aquatalia Oralie knee boots are dressy versions of her beloved riding boots. This look gives our equestrian a professional image.
The reaction: Kudos to Lauren Vincent, Barbara Riley and Orlando Perez Aguilar at Stage 1 Salon in Durham for pampering Blanchard during a free makeup, hairstyling and manicure session; she was relaxed and happy during her “after” photo shoot. “The haircut looks fabulous. I love that she kept my hair color the way it is, ” Blanchard said. “Thank you for giving me a new confidence about my style and coaching me on everything.”
