Raleigh handbag designer Holly Aiken has a history of partnering with local artists and groups to create limited-edition collections. The designer is at it again, this time creating an exclusive collection for DECO Raleigh, a downtown retailer specializing in locally made products.
The Holly Aiken DECO Raleigh collection features a textured honeycomb vinyl bag in black and white with a hand-cut diamond motif. The collection includes five bag styles, such as the Coupe medium tote and Blast wallet, along with newer silhouettes like the Auxiliary cross-body bag, among others.
The partnership came about through the friendship between Aiken and Deco owner Pam Blondin.
“With Stitch and DECO just a couple blocks apart and drawing a similar clientele, it made perfect sense to make an exclusive collection for DECO,” said Aiken.
The bags will be available at DECO in September.
