Trunk shows this week have new looks for brides and for those with an eye on fall.

▪ Traditions by Anna Bridal Boutique in Raleigh has two big events slated this week. Brides can score deals on designer gowns during the store’s sample sale, July 19-30. Sample dresses from the store’s racks will be sold at a discount during the event. To go with those dresses, the store will hold a trunk show of new veil designs from Toni Federici, July 22-30. Appointments are required for both events; to make yours, call 919-783-8652.

▪ Cameron Clothing in North Hills gives shoppers a first look at fall with new pieces from Lafayette 148 New York in store July 23-30. A representative from the brand will be on hand July 26-27 to offer styling advice on the brand’s tailored dresses and separates. To schedule an appointment, call 919-614-9905.

Sidewalk sale

The sidewalks of North Hills will be flush with deals July 21-23 for the shopping center’s Summer Sidewalk Sale. Shoppers can save up to 70 percent, and during the event they can enter a raffle for a chance to win a $500 North Hills gift card. For info, check out visitnorthhills.com.

Bridal event extended

Last week, A Bridal World in Raleigh and Bridal Boutique of North Carolina in Cary held a sale in conjunction with National Bridal Day that also served as a fundraiser for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRFA). The response was so overwhelming that the stores have extended the sale through July 22. Customers can make an appointment by calling 919-872-7433 (Raleigh) or 919-233-3811 (Cary). Proceeds from the extended sale also will benefit OCRFA.

Spoonflower corgis available

Last month, Durham fabric company Spoonflower generated a good bit of buzz with some quirky life-sized pillows featuring the images of Queen Elizabeth II and her corgis. The pooch pillows were so popular that the company is now making them available to the public. Pillow hounds can get their paws on one at spoonflower.com/corgi-pillows, for $48. Spoonflower will donate $12 from each sale to The Coalition to Unchain Dogs, a Durham animal rescue nonprofit.
