Earlier this week, my husband and I ate at Tyler's on the American Tobacco campus. We had one of their seasonal specials, the pork chops with leek and Gruyère bread pudding and wilted spinach. While the whole meal was very good, the leek bread pudding was outstanding! We'd love to get this unusual recipe if possible. -- M.H., Durham
An outstanding beer selection and food that's a cut above the pub norm have proven a winning formula for Tyler's (324-400 Blackwell St.; 433-0345; www.tylerstaproom.com), which now has locations in Durham, Carrboro (the original) and Apex, with a fourth slated to open next year in Raleigh. Co-chefs Matt Romatzick and Matt Hardner are happy to "leek" the secrets of their recipe.
