Delights from Caffe Luna

My husband and I went to Caffe Luna on our first date and discovered we both had the same favorite dish -- their Linguine Fra Diavolo. Neither of us knew then that we'd be married less than three years later. It's been our special "date" restaurant ever since.

The five-year anniversary of that first date is coming up in January, and I would love to make that dish for him to commemorate the occasion. Is there any chance they'd be willing to share the recipe? -- J.D., Cary

A casually romantic atmosphere and a menu of light Italian fare have made Caffe Luna (136 E. Hargett St.; 832-6090; www.cafeluna.com) a popular dining destination in downtown Raleigh for more than a decade. Owner Parker Kennedy offers the recipe for Linguine Fra Diavolo, along with his best anniversary wishes. Kennedy also shares the secrets of another Caffe Luna favorite, Orecchiette Antica.
