Last week, we shared about the partnership between Our State magazine and Crook’s Corner in Chapel Hill for a monthly barbecue dinner.
It turns out that Crook’s Corner has been serving barbecue from across the state each Wednesday night for the last two months. Owner Gene Hamer drives to one of the dozens of N.C. barbecue restaurants and brings back enough ‘cue to offer it as a menu item at Crook’s that night.
Here is the schedule: this Wednesday night, Moore’s Old Tyme Barbeque of New Bern; on Jan. 29, Prissy Polly’s Bar-B-Que in Kernersville; on Feb. 5, McCall’s Bar-B-Que in Goldsboro; and Feb. 12, Hill’s Lexington Barbecue in Winston-Salem.
Crook’s Corner posts the upcoming Carolina ‘Cue schedule online: crookscorner.com.
